Our Story
Photography is a part of who I am. Documenting precious memories for joyful mamas is something that I just adore. It was during a time of loss in our church that I came to realize the value of capturing these moments here and now. I had photographed this family and only a few short months, maybe a year, later their sweet little girl passed away. I looked back on those images I had taken and realized just how valuable those were. Those moments can never be gotten back, but they can be relived over and over again through the photographs. This is where my passion for family photography was born and I pray it never fades.
When I was in High School in North Louisiana, I wanted to be a neonatal nurse. I loved seeing little babies and I wanted to be able to help take care of them the first seconds after they entered this earth. I did not go to fulfill that dream as life had different plans. Instead I married young and became a mom at 21- only 6 days after my 21st birthday! Now, as a mother myself I know just how precious and fleeting these moments with our babies truly is. You blink and they are grown. This time is hard, but it goes by so fast. The days are long but the years are short. It's crazy how that happens, isn't it?! Capturing and preserving this amazing time for new families is something that I adore.
One thing I have learned is that motherhood is messy, chaotic, and yet beautiful. I also know that when you are in the thick of motherhood all you tend to see is the messy and the chaos. Others looking from the outside in may see the beauty in the work that you are doing but when are knee deep in laundry, diapers, and spit up the last thing you see is beauty.
The driving force behind my business is to show mamas how beautiful this chaos is. I'm not saying it's not chaotic, because it definitely is, but I want to let you see how beautiful it is. You are raising little ones. Nurturing them into someone that will one day have a household of their own. You are instilling character into them. You are raising the future generation. While that may feel like a daunting task, I want you to know you're doing an incredible job, Mama. This work is beautiful work.
It's not what we have but who we share it with that truly counts. The joy and laughter you share with those you love is what is of true value.
